What to expect after a burn
When you have been involved in a burn or your child has been involved in a burn accident, there are many things that are probably racing through your head. There are a few things that you should think about once the burn has been taken care of at the hospital and you are going to be at home.
Second and third degree burns can be the most painful burns because of all the issue that you will have with it later. One symptom that you are likely to see with a second degree burn is severe pain on the sight of the burn. Another symptom you might see is redness and blisters which will eventually break open and leave the area looking like wet pink tissue. It is important that you keep all the wounds clean, because if you don’t, it could cause a bad infection on the sight of the burn. The healing time for this type of wound really depends on the actually severity and should be taken on a case by case basis.
Third degree burns are the absolute worst type of burns that you could possibly end up with. When a person has a third degree burn, there is a definite possibility that the person who has the burn will not feel a thing on the burn sight. When you have a third degree burn, there is normally quite a bit of nerve damage that has happened. This will also require that once the person has recovered from the surgery there will be rehabilitation that the person will have to go through to regain muscle memory and strength where the burn was.
